Sandy Creek’s convenient and expansive selection of boat slips for rent near Austin
An Austin boater’s slip choices at Lake Travis are plentiful. It takes a special blend of service and selection to stand out year after year. As a member of the VIP Marinas group, Sandy Creek Yacht Club Marina knows this and we make it our mission to provide a “VIP” experience.
We provide three tiers of boat slips for rent near Austin, which include our 11 by 26-foot covered wet slips, our 20 by 60-foot patio slips, and our covered 16 by 36-foot yacht slips. Sandy Creek members receive 10 percent off gas from Sandy Creek and all our sister marinas on Lake Travis. Members have access to Lake Travis events like the annual Start of Summer Party and the Clap of Thunder Pirate Dock Party, and all slips include gated access with a private member bathroom and shower.
Our marina would not be complete without a fully stocked ship store, filled with ice, beer, and snacks for your day or weekend trip out of Austin.
Driving directions: Austin → Sandy Creek Marina, Lake Travis
Total distance ≈ 30 mi • Typical drive ≈ 40 – 50 min, depending on traffic in northwest Austin and along RM 620.
- Head north from downtown Austin on TX-1 Loop / MoPac Expy
Use the northbound frontage road or freeway lanes for about 6 mi, then take the exit for RM 2222 / Northland Dr. - West on RM 2222
Turn left (west) and stay on RM 2222 (it becomes “Bull Creek Rd,” then “City Park Rd,” then a scenic hill-country highway) for ≈ 11 mi until the big light at RM 620 / Four Points. - Right (north) on RM 620
Continue ≈ 4 mi. Watch for large signs for Volente, Oasis, and Travis County parks. - Left on Bullick Hollow Rd / FM 2769
After passing Mansfield Dam, turn left at the light onto Bullick Hollow Rd (FM 2769). Follow this winding lakeside road ≈ 4 mi; you’ll cross a low water bridge and see signs for Volente. - Through Volente, stay on FM 2769
FM 2769 becomes the main street of Volente. At the three-way stop by Volente Beach, stay straight (road curves right and heads uphill). - Left on Lime Creek Rd
About 0.6 mi past the three-way stop, turn left onto Lime Creek Rd (look for a brown “Sandy Creek Marina” sign). Drive ≈ 1.5 mi of tight curves until you reach the marina gate at 8714 Lime Creek Rd, Volente TX 78641. - Enter Sandy Creek Marina
Follow the entrance drive downhill to parking and the marina office—welcome to Lake Travis!
